Policies

The policies listed below can also be found in the Member Handbook (click here to download, last updated 01/25/2010).

Cleanliness

  • To keep street dirt out of the Kidspace area, shoes (adults and kids) must be removed prior to entering and stored in the cubbies or under shelves outside the Kidspace front gate
  • Wipes will be provided; if your child mouths something, please wipe it clean afterwards.
  • Diapers can be changed in the restrooms down the hall from Kidspace. However, PLEASE do not put dirty diapers in the restroom trash cans. They should be brought back into Kidspace and placed in the diaper pail at the front desk.

Food

  • For the safety of all members, Kidspace is a peanut-free environment.

Illness

  • To help keep everyone healthy, we ask that you not bring a sick child into Kidspace. Please do not bring your child until 24 hours after a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea; or with any other contagious illness.

Storage

  • Coat hangars and racks are located outside the front entry gate.
  • Shelves are available inside Kidspace for temporary storage of personal items, e.g. diaper bags.
  • If you bring a stroller, please bring it downstairs and leave it in the long hallway by the restrooms. Please do not block access to the elevator either up- or down-stairs.
  • There is a Lost and Found box on the storage shelves where unclaimed items are placed at Closing.

Volunteering

If you need to cancel a shift you have signed up for:
  • Please edit the volunteer form and remove your name and email (set email to '-select-').

  • If cancellation is around the time of your shift, please also call the front desk at 617-484-TOYS (8697) to let the on duty volunteer know.
  • Within 7 days, please email volunteer@belmontkidspace.org
